Admission into UNIOSUN for 2026/2027 now runs on a 160 cut-off mark. Candidates who scored below that in UTME are not eligible to proceed, regardless of their course of interest.

Osun State University is a multi-campus university established by the Osun State Government, operating across six campuses distributed across the state’s geopolitical zones. Nothing about that changes based on a candidate’s course of interest.
UNIOSUN 2026/2027 JAMB Cut-off Mark
UNIOSUN’s official 2026/2027 admissions notice confirms the minimum UTME score for Post-UTME screening is 160. Candidates who made UNIOSUN their first choice and scored 160 or above can participate in the screening exercise once it’s published.
UNIOSUN 2026/2027 Departmental Cut-off Mark
UNIOSUN doesn’t split its cut-off mark by course across the board, but four programmes carry a stricter threshold: Law, Nursing, Islamic Law, and Medicine all require a minimum of 200.
Candidates who scored below 200 for one of these four aren’t considered for admission into them, though UNIOSUN’s own notice says they can change to any other relevant programme they do qualify for.
One important update for 2026/2027: Medicine admission is on hold this academic session, according to UNIOSUN’s own notice. If you were targeting Medicine specifically, confirm this directly with the university before counting on it as an option.
All candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026/2027, and must upload their O’Level results to the JAMB CAPS portal as a precondition for admission, along with meeting the right UTME subject combinations prescribed in the JAMB brochure.

UNIOSUN 2026/2027 Nature of Admission Screening
UNIOSUN typically holds its admission screening in two phases. Once published, candidates proceed with a pre-screening exercise, you’ll need your SSCE results and JAMB registration printout only. It’s worth arriving early and locating your screening venue ahead of time, since candidates are screened on their JAMB scores and SSCE results.
The second phase happens after the admission lists are released. Candidates who’ve been admitted are invited for a further screening, where you’ll need:
- Original copies of your educational qualifications (statements of results or certificates; results awaiting release won’t be accepted)
- Birth certificate or age declaration
- A letter of good conduct from your village head or a responsible member of your community, or a civil servant not below Grade Level 10 or equivalent in the private sector
- Certificate of local government of origin, and your notification of admission status slip
How to Calculate UNIOSUN Aggregate Score
JAMB is marked out of 400, while UNIOSUN’s Post-UTME is marked out of 100. To calculate your aggregate:
- Divide your JAMB score by 8
- Divide your Post-UTME score by 2
- Add the two results together
For example, if a candidate scored 240 in JAMB and 80 in Post-UTME: 240 ÷ 8 = 30, 80 ÷ 2 = 40, and 30 + 40 = 70. Their aggregate score is 70.
Past the UNIOSUN Mark, What Next
UNIOSUN‘s cut-off mark decides who can be considered, nothing more. The rest of the admission outcome depends on how well a candidate handles the steps that follow.
