This is an update for students of the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) on the academic calendar for the 2026/2027 academic session.
A full academic calendar for 2026/2027 has not yet been posted on UNIABUJA’s official website. What has been reported, and repeated consistently across multiple education news outlets, is that the University Senate moved resumption for the 2026/2027 session to Sunday, 18 October 2026, to allow admission offers to go out after NECO results were released.
We’re treating that resumption date as reported news rather than a confirmed calendar entry, since we could not find it posted directly on uniabuja.edu.ng as a formal Senate notice at the time of writing. The rest of the 2026/2027 calendar, registration, lecture, and examination dates, has not been published yet.
UNIABUJA Academic Calendar
UNIABUJA typically publishes its full calendar, including matriculation, mid-semester break, and examination dates, as a Senate-approved document on the university’s official website once admission and registration are underway. We’d recommend checking there directly or through your faculty office rather than relying on a swapped-year template.
